Artists Statement:

I want to create art projects that use both visible as well as invisible sculptural media to interact with and transform our perception of visual settings. For example: the use of scent as a sculptural medium (in 'Glass Tears' and 'Tears Chandelier': dripping scented oil). Or sound (in 'Earphones': the sound of sea waves). The element time adds transformation in the work. For instance, influences of the weather. Or animals using the work as a hiding place.

In human environment I ask people to tell me stories about their (personal) history and dreams.

This social and historical context both are inspiring to me and participate as visual elements in the work.

Through my work I want to add an extra -sometimes almost surreal- dimension to the environment which can lead to a new experience.
